BCP Tourism Launches Photography Competition

BCP Tourism is searching for its 2019 photographers of the year. Ahead of the launch of the Tourism team’s brand-new resort guide for the 2020 travel season, BCP Tourism is asking for budding local photographers to submit photos that could feature on the front-cover of the resort guide.

The overall best photo will sit in pride of place at the front of the resort guide, 85,000 copies of which are distributed throughout the conurbation. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your work displayed in association with the burgeoning tourist destination.

Additionally, the photos submitted could feature within this guide and on the resort’s own social media channels with credit given to the photographers. Winning entries in each category will win £100 worth of Castle Camera vouchers.

Entrants are encouraged to enter up to two photos within the four different categories. These are;

1: Sunset to Sunrise

Capture the amazing sunsets or sunrises over the bay – from the stunning Hengistbury Head to the rolling Purbeck Hills.

2: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Life

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are all unique, vibrant and special destinations full of character and colour. In this category you should tell a story, so whether it’s places, wildlife or working lives – bring Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to life!

3: Beach Life

Everyone loves the 15 miles of golden sand and the sparkling sea, so in this category we are looking for photos that show Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s great experiences and fun on the beach.

4: Hidden Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

Everyone knows about the fabulous beaches and beautiful gardens, so we are looking for the hidden delights of Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole.

Entries can be submitted up until the 31st of December 2019. The winning imagery will be displayed online having been selected by representatives of the Destination Management Board with the winners contacted via email by the 31st of January 2020.
