Bournemouth Beach Lodges Celebrate First Anniversary

Business is booming for the Bournemouth Beach Lodges. One year on and there are more lodges on the way! This April the iconic Beach Lodges, located on Bournemouth’s award-winning seafront, will be celebrating their first anniversary. With incredible success, a host of satisfied (and returning) guests and confirmation of more to be built, it has been a super year!
The UK’s best beach* is a superb, year-round destination and the Lodges offer a unique beach break experience – delivering the holiday trend of making memories and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
With their fantastic beachfront location and uninterrupted views of beautiful Bournemouth bay, it’s no wonder that guests have been staying not only during the traditional spring and summer seasons but also Christmas, New Year and during winter and autumn school holidays.
Kim Bowden, Beach Lodges Manager said; “This first year has literally flown by. We have welcomed hundreds of guests from across the country and Europe. They have all enjoyed their Lodge stay and there has been great positive guest feedback with some already booking return visits. I am really looking forward to the next twelve months!”
Waking up to the sounds of the sea with stunning views of the Purbecks and Isle of Wight, many guests have commented their Lodge stay has been typical of a five-star experience. Guest Mrs Stevenson from Surrey said; “Waking up by the sea whilst watching the sunrise – just amazing! We loved the whole experience, it’s been very relaxing and the kids loved it too!”
Since their launch last April more than 1,250 bookings have been made and more 12,500 Dorset biscuits have been dunked into more than 7,500 cups of Dorset Tea, both found in the complimentary Beach Lodge welcome packs.
Councillor Patrick Oakley, Portfolio Holder for Tourism added; “The year we have had has exceeded expectation and we are delighted with the result – so much so that another nine lodges have been confirmed, with development starting later this year. It’s part of the bigger seafront investment project and is certainly another success, which continues to confirm Bournemouth as the UK’s leading seaside resort.”
