Bournemouth for Shopping
Our town centres and high streets have so much to offer. Combine shopping with a fabulous breakfast or lunch out to while away a few hours.
Town Centre Shopping
Bournemouth town centre is only a short distance from the town’s train station and is regularly serviced by buses and taxis.
The town centre of Bournemouth includes fashion and jewellery, shoes, cosmetics, and much more. On one side of Bournemouth Square, you'll find Superdry, Fat Face, Pandora, and TK Maxx as well as independent jewellers, the fabulous Lush body and bath store, and Waterstones among the shopping. Lush, which originates locally from Poole, does not disappoint! With hand-made and fun cosmetics, you will smell the sumptuous fragrances as you get nearby!
You're also never far from a coffee stop, like the popular Pause Cat Cafe.
Across the Square to Bournemouth's other pedestrianised street are big fashion brands Primark and Zara, and family favourites Flying Tiger, Build a Bear Workshop, and HMV.
While you’re in the town centre, visit Bobby’s, Bournemouth’s fabulous new destination store in the square with a beauty hall housing the global brands that we all know and love as well as a dedicated section for local, sustainable, and conscious beauty and health products. There’s also Drool, a store dedicated to man’s best friend.
When it's time for lunch, BH2 in the gardens offers a great choice of eateries. The gardens also offer a perfect place to take a break and sit down with a coffee.

Shopping in Bournemouth's coastal villages
Our coastal villages, Boscombe, Southbourne, Westbourne, Pokesdown and Tuckton, are full of life - each bursting with individuality.
There is great shopping to be had in Westbourne, Boscombe, and Southbourne. The shopping districts make a great day out and are home to a range of independent shops. Local independent businesses give our communities character. It’s one of the reasons so many people come to visit and make an active choice to support the local economy and help our communities thrive. Find unusual crafts and homewares, delightful gift shops, clothes, and shoes. Pokesdown and Boscombe are a must if you love to browse antiquities, as you'll find plenty of second hand shops selling everything from furniture to postcards.
In Bournemouth’s suburbs, you’ll find boutiques and brasseries lining the arcades and avenues, as well as clusters of quirky curiosity shops and a bustling café culture.
Home to Bournemouth’s vintage quarter and open air market and a mile from Bournemouth Town Centre, Boscombe is full of retro boutiques, cafés, and book shops. The main centre is pedestrianised and home to the usual high street names, as well as an indoor shopping centre. From here, you can easily while away an afternoon strolling along from the town centre to Pokesdown, visiting the many antique, retro and bric a brac shops.
Affectionately known as ‘the village’, Westbourne has a charming Victorian arcade and is packed full of upmarket independent boutiques and interesting shops, as well as pubs, bars, and restaurants.
Nestled on the clifftop above the sea, Southbourne’s shops are awash with arts, crafts, gifts, and trinkets – ideal for browsing on a leisurely day out. It is loved by locals for its quirky independent shops and great nighttime scene. You will find everything from breweries, cocktail bar, old school pubs and a Michelin recommended restaurant.
