Get out, get active and make a difference to coastal wildlife and beaches as the Great Dorset Beach Clean returns for a weekend of litter picks on 22-23 May 2021.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s Leave Only Footprints campaign has teamed up with organisers Litter Free Coast and Sea to host four of the events taking place over the weekend.  Due to ongoing Covid restrictions this year, places will be limited, so places must be booked in advance.

Saturday 22 May 2021
Southbourne, 11am-1pm – book now
Boscombe Pier, 3-5pm – book now

Litter pickers and rubbish bags will be provided.  Please remember to bring along sturdy gardening/work gloves, hand sanitiser and a water bottle and remember to wear suitable clothing and shoes.

During the weekend the team will be looking at the most common type of litter found this year, especially plastics, to compare to previous years, showing us the impact that the pandemic has had on our beaches.
