The Coronation ceremony to mark His Majesty King Charles III’s ascension to the throne will take place at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday May 6, 2023. The Coronation Ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
On Sunday, 7th May 2023, a special Coronation Concert will be staged and broadcast live at Windsor Castle.
We will broadcast these national event in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole on big screens.
You’ll find a big screen in Bournemouth in the Lower Gardens, just off The Square. It’s an ideal location for a picnic whether you pack it yourself or head to Picnic Park Deli for supplies, just bring your deckchairs or picnic blanket!
A variety of musical acts, buskers and roaming street performers will be entertaining the crowds during the screenings and into the afternoon. Further information and timings of picnics, special Coronation services, live music, screenings, maypole dancing, fancy dress competitions, face painting and food stalls can be found here.
