School seafront signage competition

This year, there has been a rise in the amount of litter left on our beaches, parks and heathlands causing environmental damage. BCP Council asked local school children to help encourage visitors to be more considerate and responsible with their behaviour in a creative and eye catching way. 

During the summer term, pupils of all ages from schools across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole created artwork to encourage visitors to respect the environment. Many of these pieces of artwork will be used on signs across the area’s seafront. 

BCP Council schools team are sponsoring some individual prizes:

• one for primary phase pupils
• one for secondary and
• one for post-16 (Foundation learning).

Prizes are £50 voucher for art/craft supplies for each category.
