About Us

Mudeford Sandspit in a stretch of sanbanks that extends East from Hengistbury head towards Mudeford Quay.

The spit is seperated from Mudeford Quay by a small channel known locally as 'The Run'.

The Sanspit is decorated by a row of beach huts and the beaches are popular for swimmers, cyclists, dog walkers and hikers who access from hengistbury head.

The Mudeford Ferry runs frequentlly from Mudeford Quay taking passengers across the small channel.

Nearest car parks at Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Quay.

Access by foot, bike or land train from Hengistbury Head car park. Access by ferry from Mudeford Quay and Christchurch Quay. Wheelchair access is limited due to the sandy nature of the site. The ferry can only transport wheelchairs if their users are able to embark and disembark without remaining in the wheelchair.
