With the holiday season upon us, all of us at BCP Tourism would like to kick-start this special time of year with our 12 days of Christmas blog! Every two days, we will be releasing a blog specifically designed to give you ideas and inspiration on what to do in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole over the festive period. Introducing blog number two…
The Christmas spirit is contagious in Christchurch with a busy event calendar to enjoy with those closest to you. Read on to find out what’s on in Christchurch this December.
Christmas Spectacular 2022 at The Regent Centre
The Glad Rag Production Company is delighted to bring the Christmas Spectacular back to the Regent stage. This year’s Spectacular is set in the North Pole at Santa’s Magic Toy Workshop. With a fabulous musical blend of up-beat dance routines, popular ballads and Christmas favourites all performed by theatre professionals and adorable elves, this is a festive treat for the whole family to enjoy.
Swing Unlimited Big Band at Highcliffe Castle
Join Swing Unlimited Big Band once again in the majestic Great Hall at Highcliffe Castle for an evening full to the brim with Christmas classics both old and new.
Christchurch Rotary Living Advent Calendar
The Living Advent calendar is bringing the spirit of Christmas to Christchurch again this December. On each evening a 'door or window' will open at a different venue in Christchurch supporting a chosen charity with a raffle and donations presented. Come and enjoy a free 30 minute performance by a different local performer every evening at 6:15pm. Expect a choir, solo artiste, dance group or other entertainers.
Christchurch Yuletide Festival
Expect to see great entertainment, music, dance, and a fantastic month of festive shopping and socialising in December. A marquee is in the central area of Saxon Square to provide shelter from the weather for people to eat and drink from the local businesses. Be sure to wrap up warm and enjoy the festive music and entertainment.
Carols in the Courtyard at the Red House Museum
Red House Museum is bringing you performances by two wonderful local choirs. On 10th December they will be joined by The Choir Engine Christchurch, and on 17th December they will be joined by St Peter's Community Choir. Mulled wine and hot chocolate, plus mince pies, from 2pm will be available for a donation. So, make an afternoon of it and combine your visit with a browse around the Little Craft Shack Christmas Fayre. Both choirs will be performing in our Courtyard so do wrap up warm. Please note, the performances may not go ahead if wet weather.
